Create an Access Level

Access Levels determine who can enter certain doors and when.

In order to sync SmartRent users into Alloy Access, we need to create SmartRent-specific access levels in Alloy Access to match the users to SmartRent Manager. By default, we will create the following Access Levels in Alloy Access and work with staff to assign the appropriate doors and schedules to each:

  • Residents

  • Staff

  • Guests

  • Deliveries

  • Vendors (3rd Party Vendor API created codes)

  • Maintenance (Maintenance staff and work order vendors)

To add additional access levels under the Access Levels page:

  1. Click the Add Access Level button and enter a Name and Remote ID

  2. Choose whether or not to show the Access Level in the Intercom Directory

  3. Click the Save button

  4. Click on the Add Door button

  5. Choose the reader under the Door field and select the schedule you would like to associate with the access level

  6. Click on the Save button to apply changes

  7. Complete Steps 2-4 for each specific access level you would like to have created.
