Updates to Alloy Access Web

Latest Release

December 18th 2024

Alloy Intercom Unit Search

The Alloy Intercom system now offers an enhanced Unit Location Search capability that can be enabled through the intercom controller page in AA. While this feature is disabled by default to maintain resident privacy standards, property management teams have the flexibility to activate it for specific intercoms at their property.

For more information on intercom setup and configuration, please visit our User Guide.

MP Controller Support

Alloy Access now supports Mercury's next-generation MP controllers (MP1501 and MP1502) alongside existing LP controllers. The new MP controllers can be easily added through the controller dropdown menu and will initially operate in legacy mode, providing identical functionality to their LP counterparts.

For more information on controller setup and configuration, please visit our hardware page for the MP1502 & MP1501

11/6/24 Lockdown

Emergency Lockdown

Lockdown Doors

We're introducing comprehensive emergency lockdown functionality across the Alloy Access platform. Property managers can now activate an immediate site-wide lockdown with a single click from any page. The system supports both Mercury LP1502/LP1501 and AAC-2001 controllers, covering all common areas and elevator access points.

Credential Management Audit Log

We've expanded our user activity logging to provide comprehensive tracking of credential management. Site teams can now view detailed records of all credential deletions, including who performed the action and when. This enhancement brings greater transparency to credential management and helps maintain security compliance through improved audibility.

Bug Fixes & Improvements

We've significantly improved the mobile experience across Alloy Access, making it easier for installers and site teams to work from their phones.

8/14/2024 Tracking Member Changes in the User Activity Log

Alloy Access has expanded its User Activity Log functionality to provide comprehensive tracking of member-related actions. This update allows users to view and audit a wide range of member activities, including the creation of new members, updates to existing member details such as nicknames, and member deletions.

Nickname Update

7/17/2024 Door Position Switches & Enhanced Site Security Events

Door Position Switches & Enhanced Site Security Events: We're thrilled to introduce door position switch support, a cost-effective solution to enhance your property's security monitoring. These wired door contacts are compatible with both AAC-2001 and Mercury controllers, providing real-time door status visibility. With this new feature, you can now generate and monitor site security events, such as "Door Forced Open" and "Door Held Open," directly on the Events page. The alert settings can be customized for these new events, including a "Held Open Limit" to reduce false alarms and an option to disable "Forced Open" events when not needed.

Door Ajar Events

To learn how to configure door contacts, please refer to our updated doors documentation:

Improvements

We've enhanced event tracking for temporary door modes and unlock schedules. You can now view important information about these directly in the events table, making it easier to track and manage your access control event history.

In an effort to improve clarity, we've updated our terminology by renaming "DSM" to "Door Contact."

Lastly, we've streamlined the health dashboard by removing intercoms and virtual devices. This change prevents confusion about offline virtual cloud bridges and provides a clearer overview of your system's health.

As always, if you have any questions or need support, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Alloy Access Support team. We're here to help you make the most of these new features and improvements.

6/12/24 Release - Enhanced User Activity Tracking, Multi-Building Intercom Support, and System-Wide Improvements

User Activity Log Details: Selecting a row in the user activity table now opens a new popover displaying detailed changes to schedules. The details section highlights the intervals that were updated, showing both the previous schedule and the changes made. Please reach out to Alloy Access Support for any questions regarding how to read the change set details.

Multi-Building Intercom Contact List: By popular demand, you can now select specific access levels to be displayed for each intercom. On the controller page, when selecting an Alloy Intercom, use the multi-select dropdown to pick access level(s) to be displayed in the contact list. This allows configuration of access levels for a garden style property with each building, such as Building A and Building B, so only residents of those buildings are shown on the intercom.

Improvements

  1. Increased Maximum User Email Length: The maximum length of email addresses for users has been increased to 100 characters.

  2. User Activity Schedule Links: The user activity table now includes formatted links to navigate directly to the specific schedules page for making additional changes.

Bug Fixes

  1. Cleaned up debug page overflow issues.

  2. Fixed Alloy Intercom sync issues when a member has a credential but no phone number.

  3. Removed outdated code for Level lock integration and legacy site code related to Elevators.

5/7/24 Release - Alloy Intercom Details

We've added a new feature to the Alloy intercom controllers: the ability to see their connectivity status. This matches what’s already available for other Alloy Access controllers.

Here's what each status label means:

  • STABLE: No issues, fully operational.

  • RECOVERED_RECENTLY: Operational but experienced an outage within the last 2 days.

  • JUST_RECOVERED: Operational but experienced an outage within the last 3 hours.

  • UNSTABLE: Was inactive for over 15 minutes within the last 3 hours.

  • FRESH_OUTAGE: Currently inactive for more than 10 minutes.

  • PERMANENT_OUTAGE: Offline and not detected for 7 days.

  • UNKNOWN: Unable to determine the status due to lack of data.

Please note, the online status on the controllers' table is intentionally omitted to avoid overloading our intercom partner’s system. We plan to address this issue soon.

4/15/24 Release - Bug Fixes & Enhancements
  • Removal of "Card and PIN" Option: We have simplified the user interface by removing the "Card and PIN" option from temporary and default door modes. Two-factor authentication (Card and PIN) for sensitive locations like data centers is still available but will require users to reach out to Alloy Access support.

  • Renaming of Controller Names: The controller codenamed "Warbler" in the user interface is now officially renamed to "AAC-2001".

AAC-2001

  • Addition of Cascading Position List to Elevator Detail Page: A new section that clearly displays the cascade position of each panel has been added for easier configuration by installers.

Bug Fixes & Enhancements

  • Corrected Pairing Code Creation: We have resolved an issue related to generating pairing codes for video intercoms, ensuring accurate and efficient setup.

  • Display of Temporary Credentials in Local Time: Temporary credentials and events will now consistently display in the local time of the site, eliminating any timezone confusion.

  • Increased Maximum Firmware Size: Super admin users can now upload significantly larger firmware files, accommodating updates for the latest versions of controllers and intercoms.

3/14/24 Release - User Activity Logs Backend

New Features:

We are excited to launch the first version of User Activity Log in Alloy Access, designed to increase transparency by offering detailed insights into user actions on the platform. Any creation of new schedules, or updates to existing schedules and intervals will be tracked in the platform database.

Future updates will expand on this, including comprehensive tracking of user actions and an intuitive search interface. This feature, which was activated on March 14, 2024, does not track changes made before this date. Please note that these records are maintained for 90 days before being permanently deleted from our database.

For any requests for activity logs or questions, feel free to contact Alloy Access Support.

Bug Fixes:

In this update, we addressed a critical issue affecting AAC-2001. Previously, when a member was removed from an access level, the change did not sync correctly with AAC-2001, leaving the member's credentials active. We have now corrected this problem, ensuring that once access is revoked in Alloy Access, the member's credentials are immediately removed from AAC-2001.
