Network Requirements
Alloy Access Network Topology

Networking Best Practices
Use a separate network, like a VLAN, for Alloy Access hardware. Assign a static IP address to the Mercury controller so the Cloud Bridge can connect to it.
When using a Robin Cloud Bridge, connect the Mercury controllers to the network using the LAN Ethernet port. This setup connects the Mercury controllers while isolating the traffic from the site’s main network, safeguarding against any potential disruptions caused by network changes.

Network Firewall Settings
In order to facilitate the communication between the Alloy Access Cloud Bridge and the local site network, the site network firewall needs to allow communication on the following ports.
Outbound traffic
123 (pool.ntp.org time servers)
443 (*.amazonaws.com and *.smartrent.com)
80 (Intercom local traffic)
LAN traffic
3001 (Mercury local traffic)
